The Xiaomi Smart Camera C302 combines 2K indoor monitoring with a motorised lens and configurable local AI functions. Its body measures 78 × 76 × 115mm. The published phone requirements are Android 8.0 or iOS 14.0 and later.
The 3MP camera has a published resolution of 2304 × 1296. Its dual-axis mechanism provides 360° horizontal pan and a 107° vertical view, controlled from Xiaomi Home. A sensitive sensor supports colour images in low light. Six infrared illuminators provide darker-scene viewing without the visible red glow described for conventional night-vision systems.
Monitoring options include human detection and tracking, crying detection, abnormal-sound detection, a virtual fence and custom detection zones. Pet recognition and tracking apply to cats and dogs. Xiaomi notes that the AI functions require manual activation in the app. Human tracking must also be enabled before it is used. Results depend on the installation and surrounding conditions.
Connectivity is Wi-Fi 6, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax, 2.4GHz; Bluetooth 5.0. The camera works with Xiaomi Home; Android 8.0 or iOS 14.0 and later. Pair it through the app and choose a position with a reliable network signal; wireless performance depends on the installation and surrounding interference.
Recording options include 8–256GB microSD; paid cloud. Memory cards are purchased separately, and cloud recording requires a paid service where available. Select the storage method suited to your recording needs and check its setup instructions in the app.
The lens can move upwards into the body for physical shielding, with timed and scheduled options. A MJA1 security chip, local AI processing and encrypted cloud transfers support the manufacturer’s privacy design. Two-way voice calls start from a phone, using the built-in speaker. Compatible Alexa and Google Assistant equipment can provide supported voice functions, depending on region and service availability.
Rated input is 5V DC at 1A and operating temperature is −10°C to 40°C. A power adapter is not included. The package contains the camera, charging cable, manual, base, two screws, two wall plugs, warranty notice, mounting template and graphic guide. Flat or inverted installation is supported. Adjust image rotation after inverted mounting and follow the supplied instructions when choosing the position and power supply.
