The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW300 is a connected monitoring camera with a published 4MP; 2560 × 1440 image specification. It works with Xiaomi Home; Android 8.0 or iOS 12.0 and later for remote live viewing, recording settings and authorised access from a compatible phone. Position the unit where its view suits the intended monitoring area and its network connection is reliable.
Lens coverage is Motorised horizontal and vertical pan/tilt; numerical travel angles not specified. Night viewing uses Two 850nm infrared lights and two white lights; smart full-colour night vision. Lighting, reflections and placement affect the recorded picture. Check the live image after mounting and avoid reflective objects close to the lens, which can interfere with the useful night view.
The motorised head can follow a detected person and supports remote pan and tilt from Xiaomi Home. Audible and flashing-light warnings are configurable. Wi-Fi and the Ethernet port provide alternative network connections; a network cable is purchased separately. Fit the waterproof network-port accessories even when the port is unused. The included adapter requires an indoor, protected installation.
Connectivity comprises Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz; Ethernet port. Configure the device through Xiaomi Home before completing installation. Router position, walls and surrounding interference affect connection quality. Choose the correct app region and network during setup, then test remote viewing from the intended installation position.
Recording options comprise 8–256GB microSD; cloud. Compatible memory cards, where supported, are purchased separately. Cloud functions and subscriptions depend on regional availability and the selected service. Review the recording interval, alert frequency and playback settings rather than assuming every advertised service starts automatically.
Two-way voice communication uses the built-in microphone and speaker with the phone app. Calls and notifications depend on an active connection and suitable settings. Review authorised device access, sleep schedules and monitoring preferences during setup, especially when other household members will also view the camera.
The package contains the camera, adapter, mounting bracket, Ethernet-port waterproof kit, template sticker, waterproof tape, mounting screws, manual, warning sticker and warranty notice. Follow the mounting and power instructions, support cables correctly and confirm the final viewing position before tightening the installation. Keep the lens and connections clean and maintain the protective covers required for the selected placement.
