Product details
Xiaomi Smart Lightstrip adds adjustable ambient lighting to a desk, entertainment area or living space. The basic package contains a two-metre strip with a White body, controller and power adapter. Its full-colour lighting and adjustable brightness let you choose a softer background glow or a more noticeable effect. Brightness can be set between one and one hundred percent.
The integrated audio pickup supports music-synchronised lighting. Set the colours, sensitivity and dynamic effects to suit the music and surroundings. This feature lets the lighting respond to the beat without requiring a separate audio accessory. The physical controller includes a dedicated music-sync button that enables the function with a tap and disables it with another tap.
Eight preset dynamic lighting modes provide different animated effects. These include Rainbow, Aurora, Waves, Spectrum, Bonfire, Meteor, Cycle and Building Blocks. In the customisation mode, set colours for individual strip segments and select the desired motion. This supports both ready-made scenes and a personal combination of colours for the space.
Use the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app for compatible connected controls. Xiaomi also lists Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support, with Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant voice interaction through the appropriate platform setup. The specified phone compatibility is Android 4.4 or iOS 10.0 and later. Wireless connectivity includes two-point-four-gigahertz Wi-Fi using IEEE 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy.
The flexible epoxy-resin construction helps the strip follow the chosen installation route and makes it convenient to store. The two-metre strip weighs 145 grams excluding the adapter. Compatible extensions, sold separately, allow a total strip length of up to ten metres. Disconnect the power supply before adding an extension. The basic package does not contain an extension strip.
For direct operation, tap the mode button to switch on and tap again to cycle through lighting modes. Press and hold it to switch off. The two-metre configuration is rated at 5.1 watts with a 24-volt input. The package also includes a buckle box and user manual for setting up the supplied lighting components.
