Yeelight LED Lightstrip 1S brings configurable RGB lighting to indoor spaces. Choose from sixteen million colours and adjust the brightness to suit a desk, shelf or entertainment area. The flexible strip can follow corners and curved surfaces, making it useful for ambient lighting around furniture. This is coloured accent lighting with app-based control and several compatible smart-home platforms.
Use the Yeelight app to manage lighting scenes, timers and groups. Group controls let you operate multiple compatible strips together, while scheduled switching provides a convenient way to organise lighting around daily routines. Mi Home integration also allows operation with supported Xiaomi smart-home products. Platform availability and setup depend on the selected service and compatible devices.
The manufacturer lists Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility for supported voice controls. Connect through the appropriate platform to change supported settings without using the physical control box every time. Built-in two-point-four-gigahertz Wi-Fi uses IEEE 802.11b/g/n, so the strip does not require a separate lighting hub for its documented app setup.
For gaming, supported Razer Chroma RGB integration connects lighting effects with compatible game events. The manufacturer’s brochure also identifies Yeelight Station for PC. Music synchronisation provides another way to vary colours with the rhythm. These functions complement everyday static-colour lighting, letting you select a scene for listening, gaming or relaxing.
The standard two-metre pack can be extended with separately purchased compatible extension kits, up to a total length of ten metres. Extension packs require a standard pack with a control box. Measure the intended route before installation. When shortening the strip, cut only along the indicated trim line and reset the length in the app, following Yeelight’s instructions. Disconnect power while making changes, then reconnect and restart as directed.
The 1S is intended for indoor use and is not waterproof. Its manufacturer brochure lists a 100-to-240-volt AC supply at 50 or 60 hertz. The stated 24-watt power rating applies to a ten-metre configuration. Supported phone operating systems are Android 4.4 or iOS 9.0 and later.
