Our quick verdict

The HP OmniBook X Flip 14-kp0023dx, a 360-degree convertible laptop, has more memory for multitasking (24 GB), runs older Windows apps natively and comes with its keyboard, while the Microsoft Surface Pro 13-inch 12th Gen, a tablet-first detachable, is lighter (895 g without keyboard), has a sharper screen and supports a pen, though its keyboard is sold separately and older Windows apps may need emulation on its Arm chip.
