Product details
The Canon PIXMA TS3640 combines document printing, flatbed scanning and copying in one A4 desktop printer. It uses separate black and colour FINE cartridges for everyday documents and photo printing. The built-in wireless connection gives the printer a place on a shared home or small-office network, while USB offers a direct connection to a computer.
Printing and supplies
Document speeds are Approx. 7.7 ipm mono and 4.0 ipm colour (ISO/IEC 24734). Maximum print resolution is up to 4800 × 1200 dpi. The ink system uses PG-445 / PG-445XL black; CL-446 / CL-446XL colour cartridges. Select the correct paper and quality settings for the job when moving between text documents and photographs.
Paper handling
The paper input is rear tray: up to 60 sheets of plain paper. Supported formats include A4, A5, B5, Letter and Legal plain paper; 13 × 18 cm, 10 × 15 cm and 13 × 13 cm photo paper; custom width 89–215.9 mm and length 127–676 mm. The printer accepts plain paper, supported canon glossy photo paper, magnetic and restickable photo paper.
Two-sided printing uses manual operation, so the paper is turned and reloaded when prompted. This makes it practical to prepare double-sided documents without claiming an automatic duplex mechanism.
Scanning and copying
The scanner is a CIS flatbed; 600 × 1200 dpi optical; maximum document 216 × 297 mm. Copying options include up to 20 copies; 25–400% zoom and fit-to-page; document and borderless copy. The flatbed supports individual sheets and photographs, and provides a straightforward way to digitize documents or create a copy without a separate scanner. Position the original carefully on the glass before starting the scan or copy job.
Connectivity and workspace
Connections include Hi-Speed USB Type-B; Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n; access point mode; AirPrint; Mopria. Configure the printer on the intended wireless network, or connect it directly by USB for a single-computer setup. Install the appropriate Canon driver or supported mobile printing app for the device you plan to use.
The printer measures 435 × 327 × 145 mm (W × D × H) and weighs approx. 4.0 kg. Power requirements are AC 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz; copying approx. 9 W. Allow room for loading the rear tray, removing printed pages and opening the scanner lid. A stable desk or shelf with accessible power and network coverage makes daily use more convenient.
