Product details
The Xiaomi Electric Kettle 2 is a white 1.7-litre electric kettle for everyday household water boiling. Its clean outer shape includes an open vertical handle and a matching power base. This is the Electric Kettle 2 in the UK source list, distinct from the Electric Kettle 2 Lite, the glass kettle and Xiaomi’s unpowered insulated serving kettle.
An 1800W heating system works with a rated supply of 220 to 240V at 50 or 60Hz. Xiaomi describes an aluminium heating plate designed to distribute heat across the bottom. The time needed to reach boiling varies with water volume and starting temperature, so this listing does not promise a fixed boiling time under every condition.
The seamless interior, inner lid and spout use 304 stainless steel. A double-layer body provides insulation between the inner vessel and outer casing, and Xiaomi identifies BPA-free materials. This construction supports comfortable everyday handling, but hot water and steam still need care. It is a mechanical boiling kettle without a keep-warm function; the insulated outer body should not be mistaken for active temperature maintenance.
The lid opens in two stages. Its damping mechanism allows a partial opening first, then the lid can be opened fully by hand for filling and cleaning. A surrounding water-return feature guides condensed droplets back towards the vessel. Fill within the marked limits and close the lid correctly before heating water.
The kettle includes a heating indicator and a switch for starting the boil. Four listed protections provide automatic shut-off after boiling, dry-boil shut-off, fuse protection and protection against electric shock. These functions are designed to support normal use alongside the manufacturer’s instructions. Keep the power base dry and make sure the kettle is seated securely before operating it.
The body measures 227 by 158 by 262mm and has a listed weight of 1.2kg. Cord storage beneath the base helps keep the counter organised. The official package contains the kettle body, power base and user manual. The supplier’s UK designation is retained without an unsupported promise about a particular plug standard. Follow the manual when cleaning the stainless-steel interior and removing scale, and disconnect the base from the supply before maintenance.
