Product details
The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera Solar Panel (BW Series) is a solar charging accessory for the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera BW300 and BW500. It supplements the compatible camera battery using sunlight, helping reduce how often the camera needs to be removed for charging. The camera is purchased separately; this product supplies the panel and its mounting accessories.
The panel uses high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon to convert available sunlight into electrical power. Xiaomi specifies maximum output of 5W and an open-circuit voltage of 6.8V. Open-circuit voltage is a separate electrical measurement and should not be treated as a constant loaded charging voltage. Actual charging depends on sunlight, panel orientation, shading and the connected camera.
A waterproof USB-C connector connects the accessory to the supported camera charging connection. Use the intended camera and connector arrangement rather than assuming that the panel is a general-purpose charger for every USB-C device. Follow the installation instructions and fit the connector correctly so the connection receives its intended protection.
The attached extension cable measures approximately three metres, with a stated tolerance of plus or minus 0.1m. This provides room to position the panel separately from the camera so it can receive useful sunlight. Plan the route before mounting, keeping the cable supported and avoiding sharp bends, crushing or strain at either connection.
Xiaomi rates the panel IP66 for dust and water resistance. This rating supports outdoor installation according to the instructions and does not permit immersion. The specified operating range is −20°C to 55°C. Select a secure location that suits the panel bracket, the available cable length and the supported camera position.
The panel measures 218 × 178 × 16mm. The package includes one solar panel, a solar bracket, four screws, four expansion anchors, a positioning sticker and an instruction manual. Check the mounting surface and bracket position before tightening the fixing points. Keep the panel surface clear of avoidable shading and accumulated dirt to support its performance. Solar charging supplements the camera power supply; changing daylight and recording activity can still affect the camera battery level.
