Product details
The Xiaomi 5-in-1 Type-C Hub expands a compatible computer connection with three USB-A ports, one USB-C port and an HDMI port. Its attached USB-C lead connects to the host, and a cable storage groove helps protect the connector when the hub is packed away. The full aluminium alloy casing provides a compact enclosure for a desk or portable computer setup.
The three USB-A ports use USB 3.0, with a theoretical data rate of 5Gbps. Xiaomi lists compatibility with storage devices, receivers, keyboards and mice, subject to the connected device’s power requirements. Data transfers depend on the host, connected device and cable capabilities. The hub supports plug-and-play connections across Windows, Android, macOS and Linux, with Xiaomi identifying macOS 11.1, Android 10.0, Windows 7/8/10/11 and later versions among its supported systems.
The USB-C port supports charging input and data. Xiaomi describes PD100W input support, while specifying a maximum of 90W for charging the connected laptop because external devices require up to 10W for operation. These are different ratings and should be considered separately when selecting a power adapter. The charging result depends on the computer and power source. Check the combined load when several devices are connected, and follow the manufacturer’s guidance for a compatible PD power supply.
The HDMI connection supports up to 4K at 60Hz. That mode requires a suitable monitor, an HDMI 2.0 or higher cable and a laptop USB-C port supporting DP1.4 or higher video output. A USB-C connector alone does not establish those capabilities; a host port without the required functions may provide only some of the hub’s features. The hub measures 112.5 × 10.4 × 39mm and has a specified operating environment of 0°C to 35°C. Heat during operation varies with the workload and surrounding temperature. The package includes the hub and a user manual. Check the host port specifications before setting up charging, external storage or a display.
