The Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 5000 provides magnetic wireless charging and a separate USB-C connection in a compact White body. Its dimensions are 103.7 × 68.3 × 12mm. The magnetic arrangement is designed for compatible iPhone models from the iPhone 12 generation onward, either without a case or with an official MagSafe protective case. Xiaomi does not recommend third-party cases for the attachment described on its product page.
Wireless charging starts automatically when the battery is attached correctly to a compatible phone. The manufacturer describes a buttonless design, with the magnetic alignment helping position the charging surfaces. Wireless output reaches up to 7.5W on supported devices. Correct alignment and a suitable case matter, and the charging rate can change with the phone, battery state and temperature. Check your phone’s charging and magnetic attachment requirements before relying on wireless operation.
The USB-C port supports both input and wired output. Wired charging reaches up to 18W, with output profiles of 5V/2.4A and 9V/2A. Input profiles are 5V/3A and 9V/2.22A, supporting up to approximately 20W for recharging. Xiaomi reports a full recharge in around 2.2 hours with its specified compatible charging setup. A suitable PD power adapter is sold separately; the package includes a USB-C charging cable along with the power bank and user manual.
The lithium-ion battery stores 18.5Wh at 3.7V, with a stated cell capacity of 5000mAh. Rated delivered capacity is 2800mAh at 5V/2.4A. The cell and output figures refer to different measurements and should not be treated as equal amounts delivered to a phone. Conversion losses, the charging mode and the connected device affect the number of practical recharges.
Wired and wireless output can operate simultaneously with a shared maximum of 10W. The unit also supports wireless output while it is being recharged, allowing use as a charging pad with the appropriate connections. Two NTC temperature sensors and circuit protections monitor operating conditions, including foreign-object detection. Follow the supplied guidance for magnetic accessories, keep the charging surfaces dry and avoid placing unsuitable metal objects between the battery and phone.
