The Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Dual combines a fixed wide-angle camera and a movable telephoto camera in one indoor monitoring unit. This EU listing retains the two-camera arrangement, giving you two views from one installation point.
Both cameras use 4MP imaging with a published resolution of 2560 × 1440. The fixed 2.8mm lens provides a 110° view, while the 6mm telephoto lens has a 58° horizontal view for closer detail. The f/1.6 aperture supports image capture in low light, with 940nm infrared illumination for darker conditions.
The two cameras can work together for human tracking. After enabling the tracking setting, motion detected by the fixed view can direct the PTZ camera towards the person. The app supports simultaneous or separate viewing and playback. Pet detection is limited to cats and dogs. Crying detection and a virtual fence provide additional configurable monitoring functions.
Connectivity is Wi-Fi 6, IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2.4GHz/5GHz; Bluetooth 5.3. The camera works with Xiaomi Home 9.4 or later; Android 8.0 or iOS 12.0 and later. Pair it through the app and choose a position with a reliable network signal; wireless performance depends on the installation and surrounding interference.
Recording options include 16–256GB microSD; paid cloud; NAS. Memory cards are purchased separately, and cloud recording requires a paid service where available. Select the storage method suited to your recording needs and check its setup instructions in the app.
Each camera can enter sleep mode independently and stop recording. The MJA1 security chip and local AI processing support the manufacturer’s privacy design. Two-way voice calls start from the Xiaomi Home app. Compatible Alexa and Google Assistant equipment can provide supported voice functions, subject to regional availability.
The package contains the camera, mounting bracket, user manual, mounting template, power adaptor, power cable, wall mounting accessories and warranty card. The published body dimensions are 78 × 77 × 128mm and net weight is approximately 305g. The adjustable ceiling bracket provides another mounting option; follow the supplied placement and mounting instructions.
