The Mi Smart Scale 2 is a compact weighing scale for recording everyday changes in body weight and for weighing suitable small objects. Its white reinforced-glass surface and rounded shape fit easily into a home setting, while a hidden LED display shows the reading when the scale is in use. This is the basic Smart Scale 2, separate from Xiaomi’s body-composition models.
The scale uses a manganese-steel pressure sensor and has a stated minimum increment of 50g. Its official measurement range runs from 100g to 150kg. This small display increment helps show changes over time, but it should not be confused with a promise of identical accuracy on every floor or under every condition. Place the scale on a stable, level surface for consistent use.
Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 connects the scale with a compatible phone. Xiaomi’s UK support instructions identify the Zepp Life app for managing the device and updating its firmware. The original product overview describes weight-history charts and BMI information in the companion app. App features and requirements can change, so use the supported app version appropriate for the phone.
Automatic user identification supports a shared household, with Xiaomi listing up to 16 users. A guest mode allows another person to weigh without storing the measurement as a household record. The supported baby-carrying function compares the adult’s weight alone with a second measurement while holding the baby; it can also be used for a suitable pet in the same way.
The scale can switch to small-object weighing after activation. Xiaomi notes that approximately five kilograms are needed to wake it before placing lighter objects on the platform. It measures weight and supports calculated BMI information; it should not be described as directly measuring body fat, muscle composition or heart rate. Those functions belong to other scale models.
The platform measures 280 by 280 by 22mm and has a net weight of 1.2kg. Reinforced glass and ABS engineering plastic form its case. Power requires three 1.5V AAA batteries. The official package list includes the scale and instruction manual, without confirming included batteries. Keep the surface clean and dry, follow the manual for battery installation and use the paired app to maintain weight records.
