Product details
The Xiaomi Body Composition Scale S400 combines body-weight measurement with an app-based body-composition report. Its four visible electrode pads distinguish it from Xiaomi’s basic weighing scales. A reinforced-glass platform and engineering-plastic body measure 300 by 300 by 24.55mm, with a net weight of 1.45kg. The white finish keeps the design straightforward for home use.
Dual-frequency bioelectrical impedance measurements at 50kHz and 250kHz support estimated body-composition information. Xiaomi describes a report containing 25 indicators, including body fat, muscle, water and protein information alongside weight and BMI. These estimates help users follow trends under consistent measurement conditions; they are not a clinical diagnosis or a substitute for professional assessment.
The scale’s specified weighing range is 0.1kg to 150kg, with a minimum division of 0.1kg. Detailed body-composition measurements have additional requirements: Xiaomi’s UK instructions specify users weighing 20 to 150kg, between 90 and 220cm tall and aged six to eighty. Measurements for growing adolescents are for reference. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and select the appropriate weighing mode.
Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 connects the scale to Xiaomi Home. The UK product instructions state that this model does not pair with Mi Fitness or third-party apps. Android 8.0 or iOS 12.0 and later are listed in the hardware specifications, and the installed Xiaomi Home version must also meet its current requirements. A separately available compatible Bluetooth gateway can support automatic synchronisation.
The app supports household profiles, guest measurements, baby-carrying weighing and other supported modes. Up to 36 user profiles can be accommodated through the specified main, shared and virtual account arrangement. Users with similar weights may need manual identification. Static heart-rate measurement is enabled by default and can be switched off in Xiaomi Home settings.
Three AAA alkaline batteries provide the rated 4.5V supply. Xiaomi’s approximately 180-day battery result was obtained with three daily readings under its test conditions; actual life depends on use. Place the scale on a stable surface, keep the electrode pads clean and follow the instructions for barefoot contact and battery care. The package lists the scale and user manual; battery inclusion is not confirmed.
