The Eufy SoloCam S220 is a compact outdoor camera with a built-in solar panel and rechargeable battery. Its 2K camera connects directly to a compatible Wi-Fi network for viewing and event recording through the eufy Security app. This listing supplies one White S220 camera; HomeBase and additional cameras are purchased separately.
The lens has a published 135-degree field of view and an f/1.6 aperture. Infrared LEDs support night viewing without relying on a colour spotlight. Choose an installation position that covers the intended area and receives useful direct sunlight, then test the daytime and night pictures before completing the mounting.
On-device AI detects human activity, with PIR motion detection and configurable activity zones supporting alerts. Two-way audio lets you communicate through the connected app. Recorded events remain on the device when Wi-Fi is unavailable, although remote viewing and access to recordings require the connection to return. This model records triggered events and does not provide continuous twenty-four-hour recording.
A 6500mAh battery stores power from the integrated 0.9W solar panel and from supported USB charging. Eufy describes around three hours of direct sunlight daily for maintaining normal operation under suitable conditions. Actual charging and runtime depend on sunlight, placement, weather, detection frequency and live-view use. The camera includes 8GB of onboard eMMC storage, allowing operation without purchasing a memory card or HomeBase. It uses 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. HomeBase 3 is an optional compatible connection, with enhanced system functions available when supported and configured; earlier HomeBase generations are not compatible. Alexa and Google Assistant are supported, while Apple HomeKit and NAS storage are not.
The body measures 96.5 by 81 by 57.5mm and has a manufacturer-listed net weight of 320g. Its IP67 rating supports outdoor placement according to the instructions, with a published operating range of minus twenty to fifty degrees Celsius. The package includes the camera, USB-C charging cable, mount, screw pack, positioning sticker and quick-start guide. Secure the camera at the recommended two-to-three-metre installation height, then confirm recording, alerts and the solar position.
