Product details
The Mi Smart Speaker brings connected music playback and Google Assistant voice control to a compact tabletop speaker. This White version has a metal mesh exterior and a light ring around the top, with touch-sensitive controls for everyday operation. The front-facing 63.5mm full-frequency driver is rated at 12W, providing a single-speaker setup for music, spoken content and compatible connected services in the home.
Two far-field microphones support voice wake-up, so you can ask the built-in Google Assistant for supported music playback, information and connected-home commands. Available functions depend on your Google account, language, region and compatible services. Voice control of other devices requires those products to support the relevant platform and to be configured correctly. The speaker does not make unrelated household equipment voice-compatible by itself.
Built-in Wi-Fi supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Google Home is used for the connected setup, while Chromecast built-in enables casting from compatible apps and devices on your network. Supported streaming services may require an account or subscription. Bluetooth 4.2 also provides wireless audio playback from a compatible source, with A2DP listed in Xiaomi’s specifications. Select the connection that suits your phone, content and home network.
Two matching Mi Smart Speakers can be configured as a stereo pair, giving separate left and right playback when the required setup is completed. Compatible speakers can also be used in a multiroom arrangement. These features require additional speakers, a suitable shared Wi-Fi network and the relevant account configuration; this listing supplies one speaker. The top light ring includes a music-lighting effect, adding a visible indication alongside the physical touch controls.
The enclosure measures 131 × 104 × 151mm and weighs approximately 853g. Its compact footprint suits a shelf, desk or other stable indoor surface with access to power. The specified supply is DC 12V at 1.5A. Xiaomi’s UK specification lists one smart speaker and one user manual in the package; the supplied power-adapter contents should be checked against the stocked package. Keep the ventilation and positioning requirements in the supplied instructions in mind when setting it up.
