Product details
The UGREEN USB 3.0 hub combines three USB-A peripheral ports with a Gigabit Ethernet connection. It connects to a computer through USB-A, adding a wired network port alongside space for accessories such as a mouse, keyboard or USB drive. A separate USB-C input supplies additional power to the hub when the connected devices need it.
The RJ45 connection supports Ethernet speeds up to 1000Mbps. It provides a wired connection for a compatible computer when you want to connect through a network cable rather than Wi-Fi. The speed available in practice depends on the network equipment, cable and service. The adapter does not turn a slower network connection into a Gigabit service.
Each of the three USB 3.0 ports supports data transfer at up to 5Gbps. These ports can be used for compatible storage devices and ordinary desktop peripherals. Connecting a keyboard and mouse alongside a USB drive can make the hub useful as a compact desk connection point. Device performance still depends on the host computer and the capabilities of the attached accessory.
The USB-C socket is an auxiliary power input rated at 5V/2A. UGREEN identifies it as a way to stabilise the hub when using more demanding peripherals, including external drives or several devices together. It does not act as a USB-C data port and does not provide laptop charging. Understanding that role prevents it being mistaken for a USB-C docking station with Power Delivery pass-through.
UGREEN lists driver-free operation on Windows 11, Windows 10, macOS and Chrome OS, while older systems may require drivers. The manufacturer also lists compatible USB-A computers in the MacBook, Surface and Dell XPS families. Check that your specific computer provides a suitable USB-A connection. The hub is a practical choice when the required expansion is three USB peripherals and wired Ethernet, with optional supplementary power rather than laptop charging.
