The Xiaomi Router AX3200 is a black dual-band router designed to support a busy home network through Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet. Its external omnidirectional antennas surround a body measuring 284 × 186 × 186mm. A MediaTek Filogic800 processor with two A53 cores running at 1.35GHz works alongside 256MB of memory to handle routing and connected-device activity.
The 2.4GHz radio uses a 4 × 4 configuration and supports a theoretical maximum rate of 800Mbps. The 5GHz radio also uses a 4 × 4 configuration and supports Wi-Fi 6, with a theoretical maximum of 2402Mbps. For wired networking, there is one adaptive 10/100/1000Mbps WAN port and three adaptive Gigabit LAN ports. MiWiFi ROM is based on OpenWrt, with management available through a web interface and supported Android or iOS software. Xiaomi also describes app management through Xiaomi Home. Wireless encryption includes WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and WPA3-SAE; connected clients must support the chosen mode. OFDMA and multi-user MIMO features depend on compatible wireless devices and suitable operating conditions.
Mesh networking supports up to ten compatible units, with compatibility and firmware requirements applying. Xiaomi lists specific supported router models, so confirm that an existing router supports the intended mesh arrangement before combining equipment. The advertised 128-device capacity comes from laboratory testing and should not be read as guaranteed performance under every workload.
