Product details
The Mijia Semi-automatic Espresso Machine brings espresso extraction and milk steaming into a compact countertop appliance. Its stainless steel exterior measures 27.5 × 13.7 × 28.4cm, providing a narrow footprint for a kitchen coffee station or office refreshment area. A touch interface controls brewing, while the rotary steam wand supports milk preparation for drinks such as cappuccino and latte. The machine weighs 3.5kg and uses a mains electricity supply.
A pump rated at 20 bar works with low-pressure pre-infusion to wet the coffee puck before extraction. Xiaomi’s stated pump pressure comes from testing with a completely blocked pump, where the measured stable pressure was 18–22 bar. It is a pump rating rather than a promise that every brew is extracted at that pressure. NTC temperature monitoring helps regulate the brewing temperature. The coffee result also depends on preparation, grind, dose and the beans used.
The default small-cup volume is 40mL and the large-cup volume is 80mL. Cup volume can be adjusted to suit the intended brew ratio. A removable 0.9-litre water tank supports refilling and cleaning; the manufacturer specifies purified water as the suitable supply. The stainless steel surface above the machine serves as a cup warmer. A detachable drip tray makes cleaning easier and provides room for taller cups when removed.
The steam wand rotates to help position a milk container, and its 8mm nozzle delivers steam for frothing. Wipe the wand promptly after use, following the manual, to prevent milk deposits from becoming difficult to remove. The appliance is rated at 1,350W, 220–240V and 50–60Hz. The package contains the main unit, single and double portafilter baskets, a coffee scoop, a filter and a user manual. Xiaomi notes that factory water testing can leave small water droplets in the tank or internal water path. Follow the supplied setup, brewing and cleaning instructions before preparing the first drink.
