Mi Smart Projector 2 brings a large projected picture to a compact home entertainment setup. Its LED light source uses DLP technology, with a native Full HD resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The projector accepts 4K input, while displaying at its native 1080p resolution. Xiaomi rates brightness at 500 ANSI lumens, with actual picture visibility depending on ambient light and the projection surface.
The four-channel RGB+BP LED system adds a blue-light channel and supports HDR10 decoding. A 1.2:1 throw ratio supports screen sizes from 60 to 120 inches. Position the projector perpendicular to the viewing surface when setting up the stated screen size. Choose the distance to suit your room, leaving sufficient ventilation space around the unit.
Automatic focus helps keep the picture clear after positioning the projector. Multi-angle automatic keystone correction operates across three axes and six directions, with listed adjustment ranges of plus or minus 45 degrees on the X and Y axes and 15 degrees on the Z axis. Settings also allow focus fine-tuning after automatic adjustment.
Android TV brings supported entertainment apps together on the projector. Google Assistant is built in and can be accessed using the remote’s Assistant button. Availability depends on country, language and compatible services. Internet access, relevant accounts and subscriptions may be needed for particular apps. The projector has 2GB DDR3 memory and 16GB eMMC storage, dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE.
Two 5W full-range speakers provide built-in sound with Dolby Audio support. Connections include one HDMI 2.0 input, one USB 2.0 port, a headphone port and DC power input. These connections allow suitable external entertainment sources and audio equipment to be connected without requiring a separate display.
The White and Grey body has a fabric-covered front, measures 115 × 150 × 150mm and weighs 1.3kg. Rated consumption is below 65W, with standby consumption below 0.5W. Use the supplied power adapter, keep the air vents clear and avoid exposing the projector to water. The supplied equipment includes the projector, power adapter, remote control and user documentation.
