Apple iPad Air 5 (M1) is priced at KSh 82,000 in Kenya. It was announced on 8 March 2022. It is a premium 10.9-inch tablet that runs on the Apple M1 chip with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and has a 12MP rear camera. The tablet has a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina IPS LCD display with a 1640 × 2360 resolution and 264ppi pixel density. Graphics are handled by an 8-core Apple GPU. This model pairs 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. Other versions of the tablet come with 64GB of storage.

The Apple iPad Air 5 (M1) is powered by a 7,600mAh lithium-ion battery. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS. It has a USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen2) port with DisplayPort output. Audio comes from stereo speakers.
