The Epson EcoTank L8050 brings print functions to an A4 photo-printing setup. Its refillable ink tanks suit users who want to top up ink from bottles while retaining a compact, integrated printer design.
Printing and paper handling
Epson Micro Piezo™ print head technology produces prints at 5.760 x 1.440 DPI. The ISO/IEC 24734 print speeds are 8 pages/min Monochrome, 8 pages/min Colour. These standard-mode figures help compare document printing separately from the faster draft-mode ratings. Duplex printing is manual. The input paper capacity is 100 Sheets Standard, 100 Sheets Maximum, 20 Photo Sheets.
Supported media handling includes Borderless Print, CD/DVD print. Supported formats include A4 (21.0×29.7 cm), A5 (14.8×21.0 cm), A6 (10.5×14.8 cm), B5, C6 (Envelope), DL (Envelope), No. 10 (Envelope), Letter, Plastic cards. Choose the paper setting that matches the loaded media, especially when switching between plain paper and photographic sheets.
Photo and colour work
The six-colour dye-ink system includes black, cyan, light cyan, magenta, light magenta and yellow. The light-colour inks form part of the dedicated photo-printing system. The L8050 is a printer rather than a scanner or copier; its media options also include printable CD/DVD surfaces and compatible plastic cards.
Connectivity and installation
Connection options include USB, Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct. Epson iPrint App, Epson Smart Panel App. Select a wired computer connection or a supported wireless workflow to suit the workspace. Configure the printer on the intended network and install the appropriate Epson software for the computer or mobile device before printing.
Workspace fit
The printer measures 403 x 369 x 149 mm (Width x Depth x Height) and weighs 6 kg. Power requirements are AC 100 V – 240 V. Leave room for opened trays and access to the ink-tank area, and place the device on a stable surface with enough space for loading paper and collecting finished prints.
