The Xiaomi Magnetic Reading Light Bar provides a portable light source with a detachable lamp body and a magnetic base. Its 36cm lamp head can illuminate a desk, shelf or other indoor work area without occupying a large part of the surface. The base uses double-sided adhesive for mounting, while the lamp body can be detached for handheld use. Choose the mounting position carefully before applying the adhesive.
The lamp head adjusts approximately 25 degrees upward or downward to direct the light. Touch controls switch the lamp on and off, with a longer press selecting a brightness level. Three levels are available: 10%, 50% and 100%. At full charge, Xiaomi lists a maximum output of 150 lumens. A colour temperature of 4000K is specified with a possible variation of ±250K, and the stated colour rendering index is Ra90.
A built-in 2000mAh battery supports use away from a power socket. Xiaomi’s test reports 4.5 hours of illumination at the maximum brightness level; the duration can vary with settings and conditions. Charging uses USB-C with a rated input of 5V⎓1A. The included USB charging cable is described as 1.2 metres long. Recharge according to the supplied instructions and select the brightness appropriate to the room and task.
The light bar measures 360 × 37 × 40mm and has an approximate net weight of 0.22kg. Its rated power is 5W. Xiaomi lists an RG0 blue light hazard exemption classification and visible flicker-free operation under its cited testing conditions. For mounting, the manufacturer recommends coated iron or wooden surfaces for suitable adhesion. The adhesive is single-use, and removal can damage the mounting surface or reduce its holding strength. Test the intended position before attaching the base and keep the lamp secure when adjusting its angle.
